loop zine

creative

collaboration

This project focused on creative collaboration across the fashion course, bringing together students from Fashion Communication, Textiles and Fashion Design to produce a zine centred around sustainability and circular fashion. We collaborated with Emmaus, an international charity dedicated to supporting people affected by homelessness through rehabilitation, employment and community living. Emmaus operates second-hand stores that provide work opportunities for previously homeless individuals, helping them rebuild confidence and stability. The aim of our project was to raise both awareness and funds for the charity through a visually engaging editorial publication.

As a Fashion Communication student, I led the creative direction of the project and was responsible for the graphic design and visual identity of the zine. Photography and styling were developed collaboratively as a group effort, while the Textiles and Fashion Design students created a series of upcycled garments specifically for the shoots. The overall narrative explored conscious consumption and the importance of circular fashion practices within the industry. This project was a valuable opportunity to work closely with creatives from different disciplines, strengthening my collaborative, communication, and project management skills while gaining experience working alongside industry practitioners.
